Description
Jordan River is located on a remarkable landscape, at an altitude of 840 meters over an extinct volcano on Mountain Heights Plateau, Jordan’s most fertile region.
Snow melt flowing from Jabal Al Arab resides under the volcanic desert and gives life to over 40 types of grape varieties. The Jordanian climate, with over 330 annual days of sunlight, and the volcanic soil of the Mafraq Plateau provides our vines with the minerals and conditions to flourish and produce the “Real taste of Jordan”.
JR Wines are the proud product of the Haddad Family’s long history in the Middle East. Our vision is to place Jordan on the world map of wine and revive Jordan’s wine making history that dates back to 30 BC.
This selection of premium wine has been matured for 3-6 months in French Barrique to enhance the natural aromas and characteristics of the wine.
Tasting notes: A well balanced, full bodied and smooth creamy wine, with a bright golden appeal. On the nose are ripe apples, smooth tropical and stone fruit aromas. The crispy texture with a slight vanilla overtone enhances the aromas and amplifies the structure of the wine.
Food pairing: At 10°C, pairs excellently with chicken, buttery dishes as well as with roasted turkey, salmon, halibut and creamy cheeses.
